The other night we were out as a family to get a couple of items from the craft store. While over by the Mall of Georgia we stopped at Michael’s and I noticed a new book store down the way. So I decided to check it out.
The place is called 2nd & Charles and I instantly loved it when we walked in. The kids immediately headed towards the games and toys while I gravitated toward the crowd gathered around the dual big screens to see what was going on. Apparently it was Super Smash Brothers event and crowd was way into it. Across the way I found a counter with older console systems behind the glass and that is when I realized the nature of this bookstore. It wasn’t just about selling games, books, and music. They also buy back the things that you’re done using.
Now knowing I could find good deals here, we started wandering around the stacks looking for bargains. There were many items I wish we could bring home with us, but I decided to let the kids get one book apiece for now. They each found a new treasure and the total was less than $5. We didn’t stay too long because it was getting late, especially for the littlest one, but we’ll be going back again soon, I think. There were lots of areas that we didn’t get to explore, and if I can encourage the kids to read more by finding inexpensive books, I’m happy to take them again.
