Norcross Car Show 2017

A couple of weekends ago we were looking for something to do that was either A) super cheap or B) FREE, to entertain the family. Those types of activities can be hard to come by, for sure. I remembered that in my younger years, my parents had taken us to car shows on occasion for a cheap outing. So I decided to look around town and see if there was anything happening. Sure enough, Norcross, GA was having a car show the next day. It was decided.

Having small children, and it being spring in Georgia, meant that we probably didn’t want to spend too much time in the sun. We planned ahead by getting some bottles of water, sunscreen, and making sure the kids used the potty before heading out. 🙂

The event was in historic Norcross, near a train depot. Finding parking took a little bit but we were able locate something within a couple of blocks and headed on in.

We saw some pretty cool cars, as was to be expected, but I think we gravitated more toward the older, restored cars. There is just something about those older cars that makes them feel like a work of art compared to most newer vehicles.

That is an active railroad track, folks… be careful!

Ooh! A car almost the size of Corbin and Zoie!

Kid size car?

Finally, it was time to go home. Some people needed to be carried because they were so tired.

Carry Me!

Overall, it was a great day and it only cost us some gas and a couple of water bottles that we already had on hand. If you’re looking for something fun and cheap this summer, look around your local area and I’m sure you’ll find a car show somewhere around town.
